Minnesota displayed their physical style brand of football that head coach Jerry Kill has installed in his tenure in Minneapolis when they manhandled Iowa 51-14. The Gophers had Kansas City (KS.) Piper senior middle linebacker Colton Beebe on campus this past weekend for an official visit, who they are actually recruiting him at fullback and the imposing blocker left impressed from his whole experience.
“We toured the facility and went to the game,” Beebe told GopherDigest. “We then went out to eat and hung out with the guys. I had a great time. We also went to Coach Kill’s house and talked. He coached my dad at Pittsburgh State, so he knows my family and we just had a normal conversation.”
While the 6-3, 244-pound hard nosed fullback got to see and experience quite a few things, the highlight of the trip for him had to be chilling with the players and getting to know them.
“I would probably say hanging out with the guys,” said Beebe. “It was just a fun time getting to know all the guys. I am pretty interested in Minnesota. It is a great place."
Despite a good visit to Minnesota, the two star prospect was not yet ready to announce anyone his leader and does not have any other visits planned at the moment.
