Femi-Cole Experiences "Great" Visit

Minnesota had a few official visitors on hand to watch a blowout of the Hawkeyes and one of those visitors on hand was Canadian running back Jonathan Femi-Cole, who left definitely impressed

A tailback the Gophers identified as a top priority early in the recruiting process was Aurora (ON.) St. Andrew’s College senior running back Jonathan Femi-Cole. They stayed on him and got him on campus to eventually land a commitment from him over the summer. This powerful back made it back up to Minneapolis on a official visit and recaps his trip went.

“It went very well,” Femi-Cole told GopherDigest. “On Friday, we flew down, got another tour of the facilities and had dinner with the team, Saturday we had breakfast with the team, watched a great game and had dinner at Fogo De Chao. Sunday, we talked with Coach Kill and flew back. It was great. I talked about family, and the great opportunity I have been given.”

The 6-0, 220-pound bowling ball back was an unranked tailback for a period, but now sits as the No. 153 ranked running back and tabbed a three star recruit by Scout. This newly rated back got the red carpet rolled out, but he felt the highlight of his trip was seeing the convincing win over the Hawkeyes.

"My favorite part was the game,” said Femi-Cole. “I mean to just see a big win like that over Iowa is great. I did also get to talk to linebacker Jalyen Waters while there too."
