While Wisconsin’s star tailback Melvin Gordon ran for 408 yards in just three quarters, the offensive line was opening up massive holes all day long. That also opened up the eyes of Mundelein (IL.) Carmel Catholic junior offensive tackle Sean Foster and he talks about his experience in Madison.
I would describe my visit as a lot of fun and overall a great day,” Foster told BadgerNation. “Some of the things I got to do is take a tour of the facilities, meet some of the coaches and really got to know the player personnel with the players and the coaches.”
“It was a great visit and a ton of fun. Wisconsin will always be a option to go to for me. Some of the key things that I really thought about in Wisconsin and their offensive line is how big they are. They are all my size and that is actually really cool to think about because if they have guys that are all above 6-5, then that is unreal and unheard of.”
The No. 19 ranked offensive tackle in the nation and a early four star recruit, the physical 6-8, 270-pound tackle thought the highlight of his trip had to be the traditional Jump Around, which got him out of his seat.
“I would probably say the Jump Around was my favorite part,” said Foster. “I am not going to lie. It was really cool to experience that. I knew it was going to happen, but I just didn’t know and expect it to be that cool. Of yeah, I jumped too.”
Everyone in attendance was astonished by the feat of Melvin Gordon, who Foster has seen grown up before him as he used to train with him a couple years ago.
“It was really cool watching him because I used to work out with Melvin Gordon at a place called the Athletic Group Public right by my house and it is really cool to see how much he has transformed since high school,” said Foster. “I got to talk to him back then.”
