Register Pledges To Gophers

The Gophers secured a big pledge when Lafayette (MN.) Comeaux senior wide receiver Hunter Register decided to shut down his recruiting process and commit to Minnesota

The Gophers secured a big commitment from Louisiana on Wednesday when Lafayette (MN.) Comeaux senior wide receiver Hunter Register. He goes over why Minnesota was the place for him with a few top reasons.

“It is a big thing getting to play Ohio State and play TCU in the first game of the season, so it is a good opportunity to play at a high level,” Register told GopherDigest. “I like the coaching staff and how they have been together for many years. They are so good at what they do. I am very excited!”

The 6-4, 190-pound wide out is the No. 209 ranked wide receiver in the nation and a three star recruit by Scout. He chose the Gophers over Louisiana -Lafayette and received interest from Boston College, Cincinnati, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, SMU, Southern Mississippi, Vanderbilt. Now, the talented wide out plans to put his explosive skill-set to this Gopher offense and has already been gelling with this recruiting class.

“I hope to bring that deep threat asset to their great running game they already have,” said Register. “A bunch of them have followed me and I have followed them and I will be added to their group chat, so it is good. Me and Alonzo (Craighton) have been talking.”
