With the 2015 recruiting classes all wrapped up, college coaches are turning their attention to the 2016 class. Schools are keeping tabs and monitoring prospects early in the process and one to watch is Farmington (MI.) junior athlete Josh Watson. The versatile athlete participated a couple weeks back at the MLK Unsigned Senior/Junior College Camp, which featured some of the top athletes around the state and he talks about the experience.
“I think I did real well and the competition was good,” Watson told Scout. “I mainly stood out in the one on ones and position drills. There were new drills that I learned and I can do at home in the backyard or with my dad at the field. There were some drills I had never done before and I liked them.”
The 5-10, 180-pound Watson has seen his recruitment start to take off by receiving some early interest from a few Mid-American schools.
“My recruitment has been going really good,” said Watson. It is a kind of slow right now, but I am getting interest from Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan. I really like Central and with Eastern my dad is an alumni, so I really like both schools.”
