Howard Adds Gopher Offer

New Hope (MN.) Robbinsdale Cooper junior wide receiver Phillip Howard adds another offer to his growing list and a big one with the Gophers throwing their hat into the mix

The Gophers have really put an emphasis on recruiting the home state and have already secured three in-state commits as well. They have also offered several other in-state players and recently offered another local standout in New Hope (MN.) Robbinsdale Cooper junior wide receiver Phillip Howard. He talks about the big news he received from the headman himself in head coach Jerry Kill.

“I talked on the phone with Coach Kill and I was just excited to hear the news,” Howard told GopherDigest. “I’m interested in Minnesota. I really like the coaching staff.”

The 5-11, 175-pound speedy wide out also holds offers from Illinois State, Western Michigan, Wyoming, Northern Iowa and North Dakota State.

Howard is a very versatile athlete that played cornerback and wide receiver this past season for the Hawks. His speed and athleticism can make him a threat anywhere on the field and will probably see his offer list rise as well.
