Minneapolis (MN.) Breck School junior wide receiver Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman has grown from last year and added weight, but has also seen his game turned up a notch. Still, he doesn’t hold an offer to date, but over the past few weeks has seen his recruitment spike up and now is hearing from several BCS power programs.
“Recruitment has picked up a lot lately within the last few weeks and couple new schools have started to contact me,” Bowman told GopherDigest. “Although, no official offers have come up, I am understanding that everybody’s recruiting process picks up at different times and mine is really starting to pick up."
“I’m hearing from Cincinnati, Northwestern, Michigan State, Wyoming, Minnesota, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Missouri, Purdue and Cornell. Minnesota and I have been in contact a lot especially over this spring breaks and I have gotten out to practice twice this last week.”
The local 6-3, 188-pound wide receiver standout has made the short trip a few times to Minnesota recently and goes over his time spent and his interest level in the Gophers as well.
“The visits have been good,” said Bowman. “I have been mainly talking to Coach Mike Sherels and Coach Brian Andersen. They really want me to be on campus as much as possible. They really like my size and my ball skills and like the fact that I have gotten bigger.”
“I’m pretty interested. I love the facilities, the location and the people. I know a lot of the staff and a lot of current players and I could see myself playing there.”
Bowman has felt the love from the Gophers as of late, but what would it mean if they were to offer?
“It would mean a lot, the hometown (team) shooting me the offer that would be awesome,” said Bowman. “I am loving what the Gopher program has been doing and the route they are taking and I can’t wait to get out to Spring game next week.”
Bowman plans on going to the Nike Camp in Chicago, Northwestern and Stanford camp in June. He also plans on visiting several schools by the beginning of next school year.
