How does Eric Murray rate against Gopher corners of the past 25 years? What’s the best case for Jack Lynn? How does Josh Campion compare to other Minnesota guards? Gopher Digest begins its A-to-Z series, putting every player in context, both for this season and within the past quarter century.

Is Damarius Travis trending toward becoming the next Dom Barber? Could Briean Boddy-Calhoun really be the next Tyrone Carter or is he tracking toward Mike Carter?

Today Gopher Digest begins its A-to-Z series, an alphabetical roster rundown that aims to not only put Minnesota’s talent in perspective for this season, but also place them in historical context of the past 15 years.

In the coming months we’ll hit every scholarship player on the active roster – early enrollees are included, incoming freshmen are not – to figure out what represents a best-case scenario for this season and what would signify a worst case. We’ll put each player in historical context too, stacking up their careers with Gopher players during the past 15 years, measuring them against the greats, the goods and the guys you haven’t thought about since their final games.

The series will also look back at how players are living up to their recruiting rankings or perhaps falling short.

Biggest game of every player’s career? Assuming they’ve seen the field at all, we’ll get that into the mix too. And no, the Gophers spring game doesn’t count.

Enjoy Gopher Digest’s deep dive into Minnesota’s roster, from A-to-Z. From Duke Anyanwu to Nate Wozniak, the series will run daily to its completion and you can track it within every player’s story.

The A-to-Z series kicks off today with Anyanwu, followed by Joe Bjorklund, Brian Bobek, Briean Boddy-Calhoun, Foster Bush, De'Vondre Campbell, Josh Campion and Eric Carter.
