"Minnesota offered me about a week ago now and Coach Sawvel was the coach to do so," Wilder said. "He talked about how much he liked watching me play and brought up the success they've had sending DB's to the NFL here in the last few seasons. He likes me at free safety as I'm really agressive, have great speed, ball skills and overall football IQ. To receive an offer from Minnesota means a lot as he thinks I can be one of those DB's drafted. I don't know much as I haven't been there before, so I have some things to learn."

The Gophers are among a select group of schools standing out to Wilder.

"I'm like the communication and effort from Northwestern, Houston, Boston College and Iowa State right now," Wilder explained to GopherDigest. "We're trying to schedule a visit to Northwestern here soon, but I won't be able to hit all those schools this summer due to expenses. I'm not planning on heading to any camps or anything as I'm happy with the schools that have already offered."

A few visits to the Midwest have been planned for the Texas safety.

"I'll be visiting Wisconsin on the 11th and Houston again for sure as they're so close. I'd give it about a 50/50 chance I get up to Minnesota this summer and I don't have a time that I'd like to have a decision by."
