Albertville (Minn.) St. Michael-Albertville wide receiver Isaiah Weston camped at Minnesota on Sunday and put up a memorable performance in front of the Gopher coaches. GopherDigest spoke with the in-state wide receiver to hear more about his recruiting.

"I have offers from Northern Iowa and South Dakota State right now," Weston said. "I'm also hearing from Minnesota, North Dakota State and the Iowa Hawkeyes. NDSU has said that I'm an outstanding player and would be a perfect fit for their offense. I'll be back at Minnesota next weekend to camp again then UNI during the next week and that'll be it for camps."

Minnesota's camp was an eye-opening experience for Weston.

"I learned a lot about football and route running, so it was all a new experience to me. I definitely need to keep working on my footwork, but that'll all come naturally as I keep working,"Weston told GopherDigest. "Coach Anderson definitely has a lot to teach me if I ever come here, but he has a lot of knowledge and I want it. I thought I tested pretty well today, but like I said, just need to keep working on my football and getting stronger."

Could an offer be close for the STMA receiver?

"Coach Sherels really liked what I did on Sunday, so we'll see what happens. I'm just going to keep working and whatever happens, happens. I don't plan on making a decision anytime soon."
