Minnesota is off to a hot start in 2016 as they're sitting just outside the top 25 in Scout's recruiting rankings with eleven commits. The Gophers are hoping to continue on this hot start with Florida outside linebacker Brock Miller receiving an offer this evening and he spoke with GopherDigest about recruiting.

"I was offered by Minnesota and Virginia Tech today," Miller told GopherDigest. "Coach Sherels from Minnesota called tonight and said that he really liked me and that I thinks I could be a great player there at Minnesota. He said that adding me to the linebacker's class they already have could make it one of the best linebacker's classes ever."

The Gophers staff is high on Florida linebacker for a variety of reasons.

"Minnesota really likes my versatility and ability to play different positions on defense," Miller said. "I know a good amount about Minnesota actually as I have been looking into them a lot recently as I felt that I was close to an offer. I know they have a great football team, play in a great football conference, have great academics and are in a town that looks really good from what I can see."

Minnesota will try hard to get a visit from Miller.

"I would love to visit, I just have to find a way to get up there. My interest in Minnesota is pretty good as I think it's a great school and I'm looking forward to getting up there and seeing what they have to offer. I'm also going to try and visit Virginia Tech, Virginia Tech and Mississippi State this fall, but we'll see."
