After coming to numerous Gopher practices this spring, the Minnesota staff extended an offer to Minneapolis (Minn.) Breck wide receiver Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman this afternoon and Bowman worked out on campus yesterday. GopherDigest spoke with the Twin Cities wide receiver to learn more about his new Big Ten offer.

"After working out at Minnesota yesteday, Coach Kill called to offer me this afternoon," Chiaokhiao-Bowman said to GopherDigest. "He said that the coaches loved my skills at a wide receiver like my route running along with my size, speed and good hands, they have to offer. I thought that things went very well yesterday as I tested decently, but I showed them that when it comes to field speed and ball skills, combined with my route running, that I can do my thing out there. Wide receivers coach Brian Anderson said that he had a great time working with me and that he loved every minute of it."

Minnesota being the in-state wide receiver's first big-time offer goes a long way with Chiaokhiao-Bowman.

"The Gophers offering means a lot because it's my first offer from a power five conference and also is my hometown school as well. My interest in Minnesota hasn't changed as it's still high because I love what the U is doing with their program and where it's heading. I'm been pretty busy at different camps this summer and to end it at Minnesota with an offer is special. I think that Northwestern, Bowling Green and potentially Michigan State are close to offering as well. I don't have any more visits planned for the summer as I'm just playing it by ear now. I don't have a top list of schools, it's just humbling to know that these schools want me to attend classes and play football for them."

Chiaokhiao-Bowman plans to just see what happens here in the next few weeks before any kind of decision.

"As of now, I'm just going to keep working and see where this next month of recruiting takes me before I think about a decision. I'm still just taking it all in."
