Geismar (La.) Dutchtown cornerback Coney Durr has been to a few camps this summer working on getting his craft better for the fall, but he has his mind focused on a couple schools heading into July. GopherDigest spoke with Durr to learn more about his recruiting.

"Nothing too much is new as I've just been working out with the team and getting ready for the fall," Durr said to GopherDigest. "I visited Memphis and Mississippi State earlier this month and the Bulldogs said that they may offer, but I'm not sure those with the number of corners they already have committed. Memphis just made it known that they really want me."

Three schools are recruiting Durr the hardest.

"Minnesota, Kansas State and Memphis are on me hard," Durr explained. "Minnesota and Kansas State will both be graduating their starting corners, so I'll have a chance to play early if I go there. I've been talking with Coach Reffet from Memphis, Coach Sawvel from Minnesota and Coach Seiler from Kansas State."

Minnesota has already been working on setting up a visit with the Louisiana corner.

"Coach Sawvel and I set up an official visit to Minnesota for their game against Michigan on Halloween night," Durr told GopherDigest. "My interest in Minnesota is pretty high as I how their secondary plays as they're pretty good. I'd say my relationship with Coach Sawvel is pretty good as we talk at least once or twice a week and he thinks I'll really like it up there. I also talked with my teammate from last year whose up there now in Alonzo Craighton and he's ready for me to make it up there."

The Gophers are placed well with Durr heading into the summer.

"Minnesota is in my top two with Kansas State right now," Durr said. "I've already scheduled my official visit there and will be setting one to Kansas State very soon. I'll be doing the rest of my official visits after the season."
