Kansas City (Mo.) forward Jeriah Horne had a great weekend of play and Minnesota among other schools have already taken notice. GopherDigest caught up with Horne to learn more.

"Schools that are recruiting me the hardest right now are Kansas State, Iowa State, Rutgers and Clemson and they're all offered me," Horne said to GopherDigest. "VCU, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Wichita State and Virginia Tech are also recruiting me hard. Not sure how close to offers they are, but I think Wichita State could do it very soon."

Horne is happy with the July he's put forth so far.

"It's gone really well," Horne explained. "As best as I could have wished for. I'm really working on finishing out July as I want to show these college coaches my consistency on both ends of the court in every game I play."

Minnesota is another school trying to make an impression on the Missouri forward.

"Pitino was out to watch me in North Carolina and I talked to another assistant coach. We just talked about where I would fit in at Minnesota and they think I'm a forward that could play out on the wing. I feel like I would be comfortable playing out there as I feel like I thrive being able to playing both inside and out. I'm interested in Minnesota just like I am in all the schools that have offered me."

Visits are going to soon become a huge priority for Horne.

"I'm trying to set up some visits here real soon and I don't know which ones that'll be to yet. The schools that have offered me have a good chance as any and I'm going to have a top list of schools after the July open period is over."
