Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill was impressed with his team's first fall practice.
"I feel good," Kill said. "We're long, bigger and faster. They did what they needed to do and there wasn't a lot of walking around. Today was probably one of the faster practices we've had. Probably among the most hustle we've had and probably the most vocal I've been in a while."
Kill was happy with his quarterback play today.
"I think he did a good job," Kill said about junior quarterback Mitch Leidner. "I think the three young ones, probably did as good as anybody. I was impressed with their composure and what they did as we repped a lot of them. The young rookie (Demry Croft), I mean he don't say much. If I said someone who didn't say much reminds me of Teddy Bridgewater, and I hope he turns out as good as that. He's got the personality that you want as he isn't worried about too many things."
Gophers coach Jerry Kill made it clear that his senior class just wants to win.
"Eric Murray doesn't say a whole lot, but if it isn't going right, he's going to get in ya. The seniors don't really care what anybody thinks about them as they want to win. That's a beautiful thing to have."
