2017 OL Andries takes in a Gopher practice

2017 Marshall (Minn.) offensive lineman Blaise Andries took in one of Minnesota's fall practices over the weekend after being a standout from the Gophers camp this past summer. GopherDigest caught up with Andries to learn more.

"I was invited to attend one of the Gophers fall practice and so I was able to go this past weekend," Blaise Andries said to GopherDigest. "At the practice, I sat in on one of the offensive line meetings and then watched them practice. After practice was over, I went on a tour of the campus as well, so it was a productive day."

Talking with the coaches and seeing campus were a couple of highlights for Andries.

"The offensive line meeting went well. They covered a lot of information and by the end of the meeting, I started to recognize some plays and blocking schemes. I cant recall exactly what Limegrover said to me, but it was along the lines of that they were really excited to continue the recruiting process with me. Coach Kill said something along the same lines as Limegrover. Minnesota has a big campus and I really liked the business department/ My favorite part of the day was watching the offense and defense scrimmage as I liked the intensity that the players practiced with."

The Marshall lineman is now looking favorably on the Gophers.

"I really like the way they run things," Andries explained. "I really like the high tempo of practice and it allows them to be more efficient and to get more things done. I'm planning on going down to Northwestern, Iowa and Minnesota to watch a game this fall."
