Howard is a team player for Cooper

Gopher WR commit Phillip Howard plays quarterback and defensive back for his high school team and GopherDigest caught up with him shortly after his first game of the season yesterday.

"The game went pretty well," Phillip Howard said to GopherDigest following his 40-0 victory yesterday. "My calfs started cramping up on me, but I thought we played pretty well as a team. I also had a interception, but I second guessed myself and tried to go for the tackle instead. We're all happy with the victory, but we got a lot to work on going forward."

"Nothing is really too new with Minnesota as they know I'm committed to them and they're committed to me," Howard told GopherDigest. "I'm excited for their upcoming season and can't wait to get over to a few games."
