Kramer receiving B1G interest

Wayzata (Minn.) outside linebacker / defensive end Nick Kramer is receiving Big Ten interest from schools such as Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. He updates his recruiting with GopherDigest.

"I'm setting up an official visit to Wisconsin soon, and I've heard from Minnesota, Iowa and Iowa State," Wayzata OLB/DE Nick Kramer said to GopherDigest. "I've been talking with Coach Tibesar and I have a preferred walk-on offer from them right now, but they're trying to bump it to a full scholarship. They want me to talk an official visit there next month as I've been invited to, but haven't set a date yet and they're looking at me as an outside linebacker. I'm going to the Iowa State game on the 12th vs. Iowa and both schools have said to just perform the next couple of weeks and we'll see where things are at from there."

Minnesota is still keeping tabs on the in-state defender.

"The Gophers are looking at me as a defensive end or outside linebacker," Kramer explained. "I heard from one of my coaches that Minnesota will be at my game today and a couple more this fall. A Gopher offer simply put would mean a commitment as it's everything I dreamed of. I've wanted to go to Minnesota since I was a kid and it's a great school. I want to study medicine and they have a great program for that. My family has gone to school there and it would mean a lot to stay close to home, but I've only heard good things about the coaching staff, so that's a big plus. It would be an honor to play for Coach Kill. Coach Sherels messaged me after the game last week saying I did well, so we'll see what happens with Minnesota."

Kramer has a few visits to take this fall.

"I'll be taking official visits to South Dakota and Northern Iowa in December," Kramer told GopherDigest. "Northern Iowa already invited me for whatever weekend in December works for me and I'll also be visiting Wisconsin next month. I'm also hoping for official visits from Minnesota and Iowa State as well. I just have to play well this fall."
