"I've heard from Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Samford, Alabama State, South Alabama and Troy," Tait told GopherDigest.com. "Samford came to see me play last week and we talked on the phone after the game, so while I don't have any offers yet, things are starting to pick up."
The Golden Gophers have been on Tait since the summer.
"Minnesota coach Jay Sawvel has told me that he'll be coming to see me play in October on their bye week," Tait said. "He and I talk once a week and he's been telling me that I'm a good fit for their defensive backs and that they're excited to see my transcripts as well. I'm excited about the program and Minnesota looks like a great place to be. A Minnesota offer would mean everything as it's what I'm waiting on. I love the relationship I've built with the coaching staff there and from the research I've done on the program, I feel stronly about the Gophers. He and I were talking over the summer about getting up there a few times, once for a camp, but mostly we now talk about the season and how I'm doing and things like that. Getting to know each other."
Tait is going to remain patient with the recruiting process.
"My season is going well and my team is 3-1 on the year and number two in our region in 7A in Alabama," Tait explained to GopherDigest.com. "I'm number two on the team in tackles and only have had five passes thrown my way this season and I've broken up two of them. The biggest thing I'm looking for in these schools is a business degree first and a minor in finance. A coaching staff that cares about me as a player and a student, and that I'm ultimately a man when I leave their program. I'm looking at making a decision as soon as I can get my visits done with my parents."
