"Well we're 1-3 after being 4-0 this time last year, so it's not as good as I planned," Arkansas DB Kiondre Thomas said about his senior season. "Personally, I think I've been playing well. I don't have any picks yet, but they'll come."
Thomas recently set his first official visit.
"I'm taking my official to Minnesota on Halloween," Thomas explained to GopherDigest. "Coach Sawvel has been trying to get me to take an official visit on that date, but my mom just confirmed it like two days ago, so that's when we're going. I'll also be taking one to Louisiana Tech sometime in January, but that's about it right now."
The Gophers are sitting well with the Arkansas DB heading into the visit in late October.
"Minnesota and La Tech are neck and neck for me right now," Thomas told GopherDigest. "They both have similar situations with both teams graduating their whole secondaries and they're both recruiting me the hardest. I like how both teams play lots of man as well. What I'm looking forward to most about this Minnesota visit is to see if the game atmosphere is all it's hyped up to be. Also for my mom to see everything so she can be comfortable with me going all the way out there if that's where I decide to go. The most important thing to me though is definitely being comfortable with the coaches. It's easier playing for someone you're comfortable with, like I think Louisiana Tech has the coolest staff if the country, so we'll see how the Gophers compare."
A final decision could come sooner than later following Thomas' visit.
"I want to make a decision after my football season, so we'll see what happens."
