"I've heard from a few schools, but I don't have any offers or anything yet though," Garrison Wright said to GopherDigest. "I've heard from Oklahoma, Minnesota, South Alabama, Houston and UNLV called me last night about setting up a visit, so things are going well. All those schools have been talking about whether they would offer or not or whether they were going to take another JUCO kid. We've also been trying to set up times I could possibly visit."
The Gophers are one school in particular that have shown interest in the Kansas OL.
"Coach Schaekel has been talking to me a lot on Twitter and he told me that an offer is possiblye, but they haven't decided yet," Wright explained. "Since we will hopefully be playing into December, I'm not sure when a visit will be possible yet. I know that Minnesota is a good team in a tough conference. They're always well coached team and are having success the last few years. An offer from them would be awesome. It would show that all the hard work is paying off and from a Big Ten school like Minnesota would be great."
The offensive line is something new to Wright.
"I'm still pretty new to the whole offensive line thing as I moved from defensive tackle after the second week of the season last year," Wright told GopherDigest. "So I'm working on a lot of technique work has been a big thing I'm trying to keep improving on. The season is going well for us so far and our team is playing great. and I'm working, growing and improving as an offensive lineman."
The JUCO OL has a few things he's looking for, but don't expect a decision soon.
"The most important thing I'm looking is that I'm comfortable with my position coach. I've been lucky to have coaches here at Butler that I do and it'll be important to continue to have that at my next stop. I have two years left after this season and I'm a December graduate as well. I'm going to to take visits until after our season is over and then I'll make a decision from there."
