Gophers safety commit Elijah Daniels is excited to see Minnesota again

Minnesota DB commit Elijah Daniels has been waiting for his official visit to the Twin Cities ever since his unofficial visit this past summer. He previews the visit with GopherDigest.

"I'm excited about being back up there in Minnesota period," Elijah Daniels said about his upcoming official visit to the U. "Mostly though, being up there when it's kind of chilly and being on campus with all the students to see what that's like. The game Saturday should be live and being back up with all the coaches is great as well. The coaches have been telling me that they're excited to get us back up there and Dee (Dredrick) is coming with us, so showing him how it is should be great too."

Daniels is doing a lot of teaching with his young high school team this season.

"The season isn't going too well as it's basically a rebuilding year for us. We have a lot of young kids. I'm trying to instill in them about having pride and playing full speed and every play like it's your last. We've lost a lot of games this year, but we were in everyone. We just didn't find those things to get over the hump, but when these kids get older, it's going to be something special over here."

The Florida defensive back did visit elsewhere within the Sunshine state last weekend.

"I took an unofficial visit to UCF and it was okay. Nice campus. I went because my friends were playing in the game and everyone was up there. Nice coaches, but still don't have nothing on my Gophers. Can't wait for my visit this weekend!"
