Arkansas DB Kiondre Thomas has "very high" interest in Minnesota after his official visit

Arkansas DB Kiondre Thomas went into the weekend still committed to Louisiana Tech and left uncommitted after an "awesome" official visit to Minnesota. He spoke with GopherDigest about the visit.

"We toured the athletic facilities, the academic center, watched the game, hung out with the host, we ate A LOT, we were in the coaches metting and Coach Sawvel let us know how we were going to be used," Kiondre Thomas told GopherDigest. "Both the campus and facilities were great and they should've won the game, but it was a great atmosphere. We ate so much food too."

Thomas was impressed by the Minnesota players and coaches as well.

"KiAnte Hardin was my host and he was cool. Everyone was up there. He was just letting me know how everything goes up there and it sounds good to me. I talked a lot with Coach Sawvel and he just told me he was glad I was up here and hoped I had a good time. He watched film with me and my mom and broke it down. My mom loved the visit to Minnesota too."

After reopening his commitment, Thomas is waiting to see what happens next.

"I called the Louisiana Tech coaches while on my visit and told them I'd like to reopen my commitment and they just told me they're going to keep recruiting me hard. I just want to make sure I'm making the best decision for me. I don't know when I'm making a decision next, but I do know I have very high interest in Minnesota. My visit there was awesome, so we'll see what's to come."
