"Minnesota, TCU, Memphis / Virginia Tech, New Mexico and UTSA all came to visit me this week," Butler C.C. offensive lineman Garrison Wright said to GopherDigest. "It's been a hectic week that's for sure. TCU came by yesterday and Virginia Tech came by Tuesday and both are in the process of deciding on me. If I get the Va Tech or TCU offer soon, I'll take official visits to those."
Wright is looking forward to seeing Minneapolis again.
"I'm looking forward to meeting all the coaches and seeing the campus," Wright told GopherDigest about his upcoming Minnesota visit. "I've been around Minneapolis before, but I'm excited to see the campus and facilities. I've been up to the Twin Cities to watch the Twins because my cousin Brian Duensing has been there for like eight years or so. I think that makes me a Twins fans for life. My mom and dad like Minnesota and they're excited to get up there with me this weekend."
The Butler offensive lineman has some things he's looking to compare to on these official visits.
"When going on these official visits, what I'm comparing most is probably being comfortable with the people at each University," Wright explained. "The people are what is going to make the place feel like home. My interest in Minnesota is high coming into the visit as they're one of my top schools. Getting to play at one of the best conferences in college football for a great coaching staff is very appealing to me."
A decision will likely come soon for the December graduate.
"I'll probably make my decision the Monday before signing day, the 14th. It could be sooner though, we'll have to see."
