"I really enjoyed my Minnesota visit," South Carolina OL commit Lloyd Cushenberry said to GopherDigest. "I really enjoyed all the tours we took and the free time I had with my host Alonzo Craighton. I thought the campus and facilities were amazing and they're going to get bigger and better. Spending time with Zo again was fun. We had a chance to talk about the program and catch up a bit. He told me how it's been for him and how it was when he first got to campus. It really helped me clear some questions I had before the visit from a players perspective."
Gophers head coach Tracy Claeys made sure to let Cushenberry know where Minnesota stood with him.
"Coach Claeys talked about their plans for the future and their need for offensive linemen that can potentially come in and play early," Cushenberry explained to GopherDigest. "I think that's pretty big and something I should think about. My mom loved Minnesota too. She really liked the city. Minneapolis is a huge city and there is a lot of things to do and places to go. I also liked seeing a practice and it was cool to see them in action going at it."
The Gophers are in a much better spot than they were heading into the visit for the SEC offensive line commit.
"My interest in Minnesota has increased a lot," Cushenberry told GopherDigest. "The visit really informed me about a lot and I feel it can maybe be a good place to be at. What's next for me though is taking more visits and making sure I'm making the best decision for me. I'll be visiting Louisiana Tech on the 15th of January and Mississippi State on the 22nd and I'll go from there."
