"I actually committed to Coach Reeves and Glasscock upon the acceptance of my application back at the Wisconsin game," In-state fullback Connor Mohs said to GopherDigest. "Last night I got news that I had been accepted and so that's when I made it official to the staff. Coach Reeves said that he was excited to have me and excited to work with me in the future and Glasscock said something very similar as well, so I'm excited as well to be a Gopher."
Mohs will walk-on as a bruising fullback for Minnesota.
"I was told they plan to use me as a true fullback in their offensive system," Mohs explained to GopherDigest. "Playing fullback is where my heart is, so I was really happy to hear that. What made Minnesota so attractive to me was that they have a great business school, I love their coaches and I love how the fullback is an integral part of their offense."
Becoming a Gopher is a dream come true for the in-state fullback.
"It means the world to me to be a Gopher now," Mohs told GopherDigest. "Growing up in the Twin Cities, you always dream about playing for your hometown team and now that I'm able to do that, I couldn't be happier. My parents are extremely happy for me as well, but also excited to have me close to home as well. This ends the recruiting process for me and I'll be taking an official visit to Minnesota sometime in January, but haven't picked a date yet. I can't be more excited to be a Gopher come this summer!"
