"It was just too close to home and I've loved the program since I was a kid," Wayzata DE Nick Kramer said to GopherDigest. "I made the decision yesterday and I talked with the staff today to make my commitment official. I spoke with Coach Sherels and he said they are excited to have me. It was brief and we will be talking more tonight as they had a meeting to be at, but he called it a big-time commitment. Being able to be a Gopher makes me feel like my high school dreams were accomplished and now it's time to turn my work ethic to over drive and help bring Gopher Football to the top."
Kramer's family is on board with his decision.
"My parents are all for it as they have wanted this for me since I was young," Kramer explained. "It's no surprise to them because they knew I loved the program. Minnesota sees me as a defensive end and they think I will develop soundly at the nine technique for them."
The Wayzata defensive end is now done with the recruiting process.
"Recruiting is all wrapped up for me now and I'll be taking my official visit to Minnesota the weekend of January 16th. I want Gopher fans to get ready for a good class and I'm here to work my tail off and win."
