Minnesota official visit impresses PWO ATH commit Danny Pietruszewski

Minnesota official visit impresses PWO ATH commit Danny Pietruszewski and he talks with GopherDigest about the visit.

"My official visit ended this morning and I had a blast," Gophers PWO ATH commit Danny Pietruszewski said to GopherDigest. "Yesterday, we had lunch and dinner with some of the coaches and toured the campus and facilities. At night, we went out with our hosts. Today, we discussed academics and talked with Coach Claeys. My host was Will Reger from Burnsville. He was a great guy and had answers to all of my questions. He told me about the brotherhood of the team and all of the friends he has made since he got there. He said he loves being on the team, loves the school and also gave me advice on both the academic and athletic standpoint. I was impressed with everything Minnesota has to offer academically as well."

Pietruszerski's mother was also impressed with the Minnesota official visit.

"She was very impressed," Pietruszewski told GopherDigest about his mother's opinions of the official visit. She liked all of the parents of the players and really liked the recruiting/coaching staff. I had a chance to talk with Coach Weber and Claeys while on the visit, and Coach Weber talked about his experience at the U and how his experiences have helped him in the real world. I enjoyed speaking with Coach Weber about all that. Coach Claeys told me that he likes what he sees in me, especially with my athleticism. He said I could contribute in many different ways, but they'll figure out where I fit exactly when camp starts."

Minnesota fans don't want to worry about the South Saint Paul athlete.

"I'm sure of my Minnesota commitment and will be attending and playing football next year. Go Gophers!"
