JUCO RB Kobe McCrary commits to Minnesota becoming the Gophers 19th commitment

JUCO RB Kobe McCrary committed to Minnesota tonight becoming the Gophers 19th commitment of the 2016 class. GopherDigest spoke with McCrary to learn more.

"I just off the phone with Coach Claeys and it's official, I am committed to the University of Minnesota," JUCO running back Kobe McCrary said to GopherDigest Monday night. "He was excited as he just got done with an in-home visit, and told me this was great news. I chose Minnesota as I just fell in love with the school and the city there. I love their coaching staff too. They're coaches of the players and the offensive fits me like a glove. They're going to run a pro style offense with a lot of down hill plays like power and inside zone. Things I've ran in my high school and JUCO career."

McCrary is now ready to focus on becoming a Gopher.

"I feel great about my decision and now I just have to focus on finishing up this semester and staying in shape before I head up this summer. I'll have three years to play two at Minnesota and I want fans to know that I'm just excited to be apart of the Gopher Football program."
