GopherDigest.com: What is your current height and weight? What weight would the Minnesota staff like you to report at this summer?
SS: I am currently 6'6 and 285 pounds. They haven't told me what they want me at, just get as big as I can.
GopherDigest.com: What are your individual and team goals you hope to accomplish during your college career?
SS: I am hoping to become the best team in the country, and be the best player I can possibly be.
GopherDigest.com: What are you looking to work on the most this spring to prepare yourself for Big Ten football?
SS: I am looking to work on getting bigger, stronger, and more explosive.
GopherDigest.com: What future moment are you looking forward to the most as a Golden Gopher?
SS: I am looking forward to playing football in the Big Ten, and playing for great coaches and teammates.
GopherDigest.com: What was the main reason you chose to attend the University of Minnesota?
SS: I chose Minnesota because it was by far my best option, and it felt like home to me. I had the feeling that I wanted to go there, and it's just hard to explain but it just felt right.
GopherDigest.com: What team do you want to beat the most as a Gopher and why?
SS: I want to beat Wisconsin and Iowa. They're the biggest rivals.
GopherDigest.com: Is there any unfinished academic business or are you all set to enroll at Minnesota?
SS: I just have a few academic things to send in such as my final transcripts but I am all set.
GopherDigest.com: If you don't make it to the NFL, where do you see yourself in 10 years?
SS: I don't know where I'll be yet. Obviously, the NFL is a dream of mine, but if that doesn't work out I want to be successful in anything I do.
GopherDigest.com: What is it about Coach Claeys and the coaching staff that makes you want to play for them?
SS: They're a very positive and hard working group that I believe can make us win games and can help me reach my true potential.
GopherDigest.com: What is something you learned about the University of Minnesota that surprised you during the recruiting process?
SS: I had no surprises to me. I always knew it was a great program, and I knew that it was the best option for me, no question about it.
GopherDigest.com: What position do you expect to play at Minnesota? What other position did the Gopher staff mention as a possibility?
SS: Coach Miller said he sees me playing tackle.
GopherDigest.com: What have the coaches told you regarding how they plan to utilize your strengths as a player?
SS: They plan to use my athleticism and aggressiveness to help me reach my full potential to become a tackle.
GopherDigest.com: Have you had any communication with other Minnesota recruits and if so what?
SS: I have been friends with all the recruits for a while now. All of the commits are a pretty close group of guys.
GopherDigest.com: What player do you model your game after and why?
SS: I don't really have a player I model my game after. All players have their own style of play, and I just want to be the best player I can be.
