"Recruiting has been pretty crazy of late," Minnesota offensive lineman Eric Wilson told GopherDigest. "In the last week or so, I've picked up offers from Ohio, Western Michigan, Wyoming, Colorado State and Brown. I'm really blessed for all this attention."
Wilson is very thankful for his six Ivy League offers.
"It's an incredible feeling to know that an Ivy League institution is willing to grant you admission before your senior year to become both a student and an athlete at the Division 1 level. I'm very thankful for that."
The in-state offensive lineman is also excited about his new offers from Western Michigan and Wyoming.
"With Western Michigan, the coach I talked to, Coach Simon, said they really want to get me out to campus to feel the life of a player at their school. He wants me to get to know the school and the program better. Wyoming is talking about getting me out to campus to see their program. They talked about the program they built at NDSU and how they are getting the Wyoming program off the ground again."
Wilson also has a visit set to Iowa State this weekend.
"I can't wait to finally meet the coaches who first saw my potential and offered me my first FBS scholarship. I can't wait to see all Ames has to offer."
The three-star offensive lineman had a quick unofficial visit to Minnesota last night too.
"The visit went really well, but Coach Claeys was traveling and all offers go through him. I was invited back to a spring practice after I had a two-hour conversation with Coach Sherels and Coach Miller. Coach Sherels told me to keep working hard. They've all seen my film and so they like it a lot. Coach Miller said a lot of the same things as far as the offers go through Coach Claeys. He says he loves my film and my work ethic on the field. I'm pretty sure I'm going to a spring practice next Saturday when Claeys will be there and we'll see about an offer then. Minnesota is the hometown team, so the feeling if an offer came would be indescribable. If it happens, that would be an amazing."
Wilson isn't leaning any which way right now and has more visits planned for this spring.
"No schools specifically are standing out right now as I need to weigh all of my options. Besides my two visits coming up to Iowa State and Minnesota, I know I will be visiting Michigan State, UPenn, Princeton, Yale, and Harvard later this spring."
