"I visited Minnesota a few weeks ago, I think of February 14th or so and it was great," Wisconsin offensive lineman Tyler Beach told GopherDigest.com. "The campus at Minnesota is beautiful. I talked a lot with the whole coaching staff at Minnesota and Coach Miller said he wants to build a good relationship, keep getting me on campus and hopes to have me go to camp. It was always great getting to talk with head coach Tracy Claeys as he's a great down to earth guy."
Beach didn't receive a Gopher offer while on his visit, but he's still encouraged by what the Minnesota coaches told him.
"They said it probably would come after I got to know them better," Beach said about a potential Gopher offer. "I thought it was a great response because I didn't know the Minnesota staff very well and they didn't know me, so it's great that they are trying to get to know me as a person and not just a football player before offering. I can see why they'd want to do so. I'll hopefully be coming back to Minnesota this spring. The city is beautiful, and it would be nice to head out there again."
The Port Washington offensive lineman is interested in Minnesota even with other Big Ten offers.
"I would just say Minnesota is a school I want to see more of and get to know the coaches better," Beach explained. "I have a few visits set for the next two months. I'll visit Michigan on March 12th, Northwestern on April 9th and Michigan State on April 16th. I'll also see Notre Dame sometime. I'm looking at making a decision this summer or in the early fall."
