"I've heard from North Dakota State, Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, Wyoming, Syracuse and Columbia of late," Osseo (Minn.) junior offensive lineman Nash Jensen said to GopherDigest. "It's been a crazy recruiting process so far that I believe will continue to pick up here soon, so I'm excited."
Wyoming was the first to offer Jensen, but they certainly won't be the last.
"It felt amazing," Jensen told GopherDigest about his Wyoming offer. "They've been recruiting me since my sophomore year and that offer took a lot of stress off me. Coach Brent Vigen, the OC/QBs coach there, just expressed how interested Wyoming is in me and how much potential he thinks I have. And he stressed a lot on academics and getting my ACT and SAT done as well. I'm going to visit there on April 23rd and I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the coaching staff and seeing their facilities and to get the feel of the atmosphere."
North Dakota State is another school that could be close to pulling the trigger on the Osseo offensive lineman.
"NDSU has basically the same thing that that I am high on their recruit board and I am visiting Fargo this Friday," Jensen explained. "I think it would really boost my confidence getting an offer from a school that's won five straight national championships. It would be a great honor getting an offer from them and I think it could boost my "stock"."
Minnesota will also be getting a visit from Jensen this week.
"Minnesota's been telling me to keep working and be patient with the process with them and come do work at their camp. Coach Miller liked my scores from the Nike combine and Coach Sherels told me to keep working on my times. I'm going to a Gopher spring practice this Thursday. It would be the best feeling ever to get an offer from Minnesota as they're my home state school. I feel that the program is going nowhere but up from the bowl game win last year. It really feels like a second home to me and I feel like that is a school I can go to and feel welcomed. I love their coaching staff because they're sort of like the staff that Osseo has with their passion for football and their mindset to win. They would most definitely be my #1 school on my list if they were to offer. I would make it a priority to have a good friendship with all the coaches and possibly some players whenever I visited."
"I did a lot better than I expected at the Nike combine this weekend. Just coming off the basketball season, I didn't have much time to work on any of the events that were going on there. Now knowing where I stand with the rest of the nation with my score, it really helps me know where I can get to. I need to work on my 40, my 5-10-5 shuttle and my vertical the most and my trainer is gonna help me make those numbers way better."
Jensen has some other visits planned here soon.
"I'll visit Minnesota Thursday, NDSU Friday and I'm possibly visiting Syracuse on April 2nd along with Wyoming on April 23rd. I'm going to schedule some with Iowa and Iowa State too."
