Farmington defensive end Tanner Sundt enjoys his Minnesota unofficial visit on Thursday

Farmington defensive end Tanner Sundt enjoyed his Minnesota unofficial visit on Thursday and he spoke with GopherDigest about his experience.

"It was a great visit," Farmington (Minn.) defensive end Tanner Sundt said to GopherDigest. "I sat through meetings and had a chance to talk with a couple of the recruiters for a long time and talked with the DL coach and talked with Coach Sherels after practice about where I'm at too, so it was all good."

The Gopher coaches were very chatty with the Farmington defensive end.

"The recruiters just talked me through how the whole organization is moving forward and getting better this year, Sundt explained to GopherDigest. "They liked the motor I have in my film, with my frame and long arms, plus my ability to get off the edge. The defensive line coach is really cool and talked to me about how I have to keep working hard and it'll pay off. Sherels basically told me the same thing and said I'm invited whenever to come visit open or closed practice. He wants to see what I can do at their camp this summer."

Sundt would be thrilled with the thought of a Minnesota offer.

"It'd be a huge honor to play for my hometown and a team I've watched play all of my life basically," Sundt told GopherDigest. "Watching their spring football practice got me pumped up for the future! I'm planning visits to North Dakota, Northern Iowa, Drake, Eastern Michigan and Southern Illinois this spring, mostly in April. I'm excited to experience all of what the different schools have to offer!"
