Crosby (Minn.) tight end / defensive end Noah Gindorff is getting some early Big Ten interest

Crosby (Minn.) tight end / defensive end Noah Gindorff is getting some early Big Ten interest and he spoke with GopherDigest about his recruitment.

"Minnesota's spring game last weekend was good," Crosby (Minn.) Ironton athlete Noah Gindorff said to GopherDigest. "It was nice to see the Gophers in action. I talked a lot with Minnesota's recruiting coordinators there and they told me they saw that I had a preferred walk on offer from Wisconsin and that I'd have at least that with them, but they're still looking at me as a potential scholarship player. I was able to see their campus again and it's amazing. The campus is huge and all of their facilities blew my mind. Some of the technology that they have at their practice facility is crazy. Just the size of them and how advanced they are. I was most impressed by their weight room and locker room. I'm looking at majoring in engineering right now, but I'm not set on that at all. It's good to know that Minnesota has that though. I think the Gophers are looking at me as probably a tight end, but I'm not totally sure. A Minnesota offer would mean a lot to me. It's the school I've grown up watching."

"My coach sent Wisconsin my film and asked about me, then they said they'd filled their tight ends and defensive ends for my class, but they'd be willing to offer me a preferred walk-on offer," Gindorff explained to GopherDigest. "I haven't had much contact with Wisconsin as of yet. I'm supposed to give one of their coaches a call tonight when I get home from our baseball games. I can't get a great feel for my interest in them since I haven't been there, but it seems like a great school with a great winning tradition. I do plan on visiting there, but I haven't set a firm date yet."

Other colleges have been in touch with Gindorff as well.

"I've also been hearing from North Dakota State, South Dakota State, North Dakota, Harvard and Minnesota-Duluth," Gindorff told GopherDigest. "From NDSU, I talk to coach Hedberg quite a bit. He said he'll be coming by to see me in school and he wanted to make sure I'm registered for camp. I talked to all of their coaches at Junior Day and they were all nice. The rest of the schools have been saying to come to their Junior Day or camps this summer. I'll be visiting North Dakota this weekend, and Minnesota-Duluth and South Dakota State the following weekend."
