"Bailey is an intense competitor that gives all of his effort," Huron head coach Michael Schmitz said to GopherDigest. "He is intelligent and hard working. Bailey off the field is an intelligent student and highly motivated to complete any task he sets out on, plus he's generous with his time and energy. I was contacted by the Gophers coaching staff about Bailey to find out some information and I think that the Gophers are on the right track with their coaches. They are driven and knowledgeable of the student athletes they have."
"Bailey has a great football mind and is able to think his way through situations," Schmitz told GopherDigest. "He has a great motor and has high energy and does not quit. Bailey also enjoys to work. He puts in the time and commitment to the weight room, classroom, and into his life. Bailey will need to work on the same things that all freshmen need to work on as he'll need to get bigger and develop his craft, but he's always training. He is constantly in the weight room or on a practice field getting better. He also makes sure that his studies are a high priority."
Minnesota is also getting a very high character player in Schoenfelder.
"Bailey was a senior captain on our team and he led by his effort and his example," Schmitz explained. "Bailey was also a flexible player on offense. He played TE, FB, and WR. On defense, he was a run stopping outside linebacker that has good hands in pass coverage. In the next few years, you can expect Bailey to give as much as he can to help the program. He strives to be a good teammate and someone people can look up to. Bailey will be able to achieve what he sets his mind to."
