"I'm pretty pumped that I just pulled the Gopher offer just now!," Michigan tight end Keegan Cossou said to GopherDigest Monday night. "Coach Reeves is the Minnesota coach that offered and he was also at my school today. We talked on the phone tonight about everything. Talked about a lot of different things, and it was more than just football. We talked about what it'd be like living there in Minnesota and all the benefits of living in the Twin Cities. Also talked about how all my travel expenses would be paid for on an official visit and how high of a level it is to compete in the Big Ten. He loved my film and thought I'd fit the roll of a tight end at Minnesota perfectly, so he wanted to offer. Now I just need to visit."
"I'm definitely interested and want to get on Minnesota's campus this summer," Cossou told GopherDigest last night. "I really want to visit as I want to get a feel for everything there. I remember watching Maxx Williams a couple years back when I first was a developing tight end and I loved how he was used and how the tight end's are used in the Minnesota offense. I hadn't really been hearing a lot from them as I've only talked to coach Reeves a few times and when I talked with him a couple of months ago, he was talking about offering, and then things fell off a bit, but now that they've offered, I'm definitely interested."
Cossou has to do more research on Minnesota, but he's absolutely interested in the Golden Gophers.
"All I know at this point is that Minnesota is in the Big Ten and they use the tight end position a lot in their offense," Cossou said. "I'm looking forward to learning more though. I'm interested and I'm not sure where they're at on my list yet, but they're up there. I've really only heard from Minnesota and Central Michigan lately, so they're probably the two teams talking with me the most. I don't have any college visits set right now, but I'll probably set some more towards summer time. I'm not sure when I want to make a final decision yet, but it'll definitely be before the season."
