Florida defensive back Quran Hafiz wants to visit Minnesota following a Gopher offer yesterday

Florida defensive back Quran Hafiz wants to visit Minnesota following a Gopher offer yesterday, and he talked about his recruiting with GopherDigest.

Minnesota coach Dan O'Brien is the Gopher coach that offered me yesterday," Florida defensive back Quran Hafiz said to GopherDigest. "He was just telling me on the phone how excited the staff was about me and how he liked what he'd seen from me at practice yesterday. Then he got a chance to talk to my mom on the phone too. She liked him a lot as she said he sounded fired up."

"Coach OB likes my style of play," Hafiz told GopherDigest about why Minnesota wanted to offer him. "He likes that I will come up and stick my nose in stuff and that I'm not afraid to tackle. Also likes the way I get in and out of my breaks and how I making plays on the ball. I don't know much about Minnesota, but I know that they have a top education program. I know they play in the Big Ten conference too, but I still need to get to know a lot more about them."

Minnesota is going to make the next round of cuts for the Florida defensive back.

"I know they definitely will make my top 10 list," Hafiz said about Minnesota. "Like I said earlier, Minnesota has a top education program, which is key, and I really like Coach Dan O'Brien as we have a good relationship. I plan on visiting soon and seeing how the facility and other things around campus are soon. They're a team that's sticking out right now. I'm going to try and visit them this summer, or on my bye week during the season for an official visit. I'll be taking a lot of unofficial visits this summer, so we'll see what ends up happening there. Not sure when I'll make a decision yet, as I'll make one when it feels right."
