Minnesota has extended an offer to Georgia linebacker Chinedu Ogbonna and he's got legitimate interest in the Golden Gophers.

"Coach Anderson is the Minnesota coach that offered," Georgia linebacker Chinedu Ogbonna explained to GopherDigest. "He told me that he loved me at practice that day and that he loved how I play with a lot of physicality in my game. I think Minnesota is a really good offer as they're a Big Ten school and one of the coaches I train with is an alumni of Minnesota in coach Singletary. He told me a lot of good things about the coaches and the environment there on gameday, plus he told me a lot about academics too. Minnesota is a great school and have a wonderful and winning defense."

A visit is definitely in the works for Ogbonna to the Twin Cities.

"I plan on getting up to Minnesota this summer to check them out," Ogbonna said to GopherDigest. "I would rank Minnesota in my top six with Tennessee, Central Florida, Indiana, UMass and Tulane right now. I did think about committing to Indiana recently, but I need more time to go through the recruiting process."

A few camps are on the agenda for the Georgia linebacker this summer.

"I'm planning on camping at North Carolina, Mississippi State and Clemson this summer," Ogbonna told GopherDigest. "I also will visit Minnesota by the end of the summer."
