Minnesota will be hosting a late 2016 official visitor this weekend from the Sunshine State

Minnesota will be hosting a late 2016 official visitor this weekend from the Sunshine State, and here's what you need to know.

With less than a month until most recruits from Minnesota's 2016 signing class report to campus in Minneapolis, GopherDigest can confirm that Minnesota will hosting another 2016 recruit on an official visit this weekend in Sarasota (Fla.) Booker wide receiver Osirus Mitchell

The big-bodied (6'5" - 200 lbs) wide receiver has late offers from South Florida and Wake Forest, and Mitchell has taken numerous unofficial visit to USF, while he was on an official to Wake Forest in February. Here's what Mitchell told GopherDigest about this upcoming Minnesota visit.

"Minnesota coach Dan O'Brien came by my school on Tuesday and he was telling how the visit this weekend is going to go. Minnesota has told me that if I qualify, which I should, they'll offer me as a 2016 recruit, which is why I'm going on an official visit there this weekend. I'll be leaving this afternoon and I'll be coming alone. I've been talking with Minnesota for about two weeks now."

"Other schools that have been in contact are South Florida, Bowling Green, Wake Forest, App State and Middle Tennessee as well. Bowling Green is expecting to offer me next week and USF and Wake Forest have already offered. We'll see how things go this weekend."
