"I had a chance to see the whole campus at Minnesota, plus the city and it was wonderful," Texas outside linebacker Dimitri Moore said to GopherIllustrated. "The weather wasn't that cold as the weather was great today. My first impression of Minnesota is there's a lot of great views, but it'd definitely have to be coach Sherels. We both have a lot in common."
Moore enjoyed his time around the Gophers campus and talking with the coaches and players.
"Minnesota's campus actually stood out a lot more than others because of the fact that they're in the city," Moore explained to GopherIllustrated. "It doesn't matter to me where the campus is, but I liked it in Minnesota. Sherels and I just have a lot in common in terms of our views on things and our high school experiences as well. I'd say my favorite part of the visit was probably the tour around campus and just talking with their current players and recruits. I got a family type of feel from them. I also spoke with the head coach in Tracy Claeys, and he had a lot of things to say as he seemed very straight up with me and he's passionate about what he does. He really wants me."
"My mom really liked Minnesota too," Moore said to Scout.com. "I was asking their players and recruits about how they like it there, and I think they were sincere in their answers with me. Sherels was also telling me that I'd be a kind of hybrid linebacker type for them, and I'm cool with that. My interest in Minnesota now that I've seen everything is a lot higher than it was before. Just the overall vibe I got from Minnesota really has me interested. I can't say where Minnesota is on my list now, but I will definitely be coming back for an official visit this fall. I might visit Texas Tech and Arkansas before fall camp starts, but we'll see about those. I'm happy with this Minnesota visit."
