Gopher BB target Joe Krabbenhoft visits U

Six-foot-7 junior-to-be forward Joe Krabbenhoft of Sioux Falls (S.D.) Roosevelt visited the University of Minnesota campus yesterday on an unofficial visit. Krabbenhoft shined this summer as a member of the Dakota Schoolers and Howard Pulley AASU teams. He also played in the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis.

Joe Krabbenhoft is already being called the best player to come out of the state since former NBA Rookie of the Year Mike Miller. The Minnesota Gophers are one of five schools that have offered him a scholarship.

Krabbenhoft was named first-team all-state by the AP and led his team to the final four of the state championship.

Krabbenhoft played with Howard Pulley at the Memorial Day Classic, Rumble in the Bronx and Nike Peach Jam play-in games and with the Dakota School in the Adidas Big Time Tournament.

Krabbenhoft has received offers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Creighton, Northern Iowa and Northwestern.
