"I was able to see the campus again, talk a lot with the Minnesota coaches and experience what a game at TCF Bank Stadium would be like," Texas linebacker Dimitri Moore said to GopherIllustrated. "It was great to see the fans interact yesterday and I enjoyed my time there on the visit."
Moore was excited to hear the news about linebacker's coach Mike Sherels.
"Obviously it's great news for he and his family," Moore explained to GopherIllustrated. "As a recruit, it's also something you like to see as he'd be my position coach. Sherels was telling me about how much he wants me and that he absolutely believes that Minnesota is the best place for me. Coach Claeys was saying a lot of the same things that Sherels was on how much they want me here."
"I'd say my favorite part of the visit was the game and just talking with the players more. I liked being able to talk with guys like Coney Durr, Carter Coughlin and Phillip Howard, as they were my hosts for the visit and I liked being able to see them in the locker room after the game. They were obviously beat up about the loss, but they didn't show it too much as they wanted to make sure that I was having a good time on the visit. Those guys were always trying to make me feel welcome."
A decision could be coming soon for the Texas linebacker.
"Minnesota's a good place, and I definitely will think about them here more and more," Moore told GopherIllustrated. "I'm going to take an official visit to Colorado next weekend, and then I don't have anything planned after that. I'll probably be making a decision following that visit, so we'll see what happens."
