2017 Georgia corner Trey Creamer was blown away by his Minnesota official visit

2017 Georgia corner Trey Creamer was blown away by his Minnesota official visit, and he talks about the visit with GopherIllustrated.

"I was able to visit the Mall of America, see the beautiful city and campus that the University of Minnesota is on and saw the game as well," Georgia corner Trey Creamer said to GopherIllustrated. "My Minnesota visit really felt at home from the campus, to the coaching staff and with the players. It was a great visit."

Creamer enjoyed his time at the game and with the Gopher coaches and players.

"It was a great game as I saw a lot of things from their defense and Minnesota showed a lot of fight," Creamer explained to GopherIllustrated. "I talked a lot with defensive coordinator Jay Sawvel and head coach Tracy Claeys while on my visit, and Sawvel and I talked a lot about their defensive schemes and how he'd want to use me. He told me how early playing time is there for a guy like me. I'd just have to earn my playing time in the summer / fall camp, but he's going to play the best players regardless of class. He told me how they're going to take two, maybe three corners in this class and he'd love for me to be the first. Claeys spoke with my mother and I about how he's never going to pressure a kid into a commitment, and that he really believes in me being the kind of player that'd really fit in at Minnesota. He really wants me to be a Gopher, but it's my decision and he only wants me to commit if I'm ready."

"My favorite part of the visit was being with the players as when I was hanging out with them at night, I really felt like I fit in really well with them. My mother loved the visit as well as she's a fan of the city, campus and coaches. As far as what's next, I'm not 100% sure I'm going to be making that Maryland visit now. I still want to make a decision soon, but we'll see what happens this week."
