Minnesota improves to 7-2 with a home victory over Purdue. The Gophers have now won four straight Big Ten games.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are now 7-2 (4-2) on the season following a 44-31 home victory over the Purdue Boilermakers today at TCF Bank Stadium.  The Gophers trailed Purdue 28-23 at halftime but rallied to outscore the Boilermakers 21-3 to secure their fourth straight Big Ten victory.

The Gophers were lead offensively by tailback Rodney Smith, the sophomore from Jonesboro (GA) finished with 153 yards on 24 carries and three touchdowns.

Minnesota will hit the road next weekend as the Golden Gophers travel to Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in a key Big Ten West match up.
