2018 Illinois defensive tackle Teague receives a Minnesota offer while on an unofficial visit

2018 Illinois defensive tackle Teague received a Minnesota offer while on an unofficial visit to campus on Saturday, and he spoke about the offer with GopherIllustrated.

"I got a chance to meet with Coach Phelps and talk to him and I also got a chance to experience the team atmosphere on game day," 2018 Illinois defensive tackle Elijah Teague said about his Minnesota visit to GopherIllustrated. "Coach Phelps offered me before the game while he was talking with me and my mother. He told me he loved what I was doing on the field and he can't wait to build a relationship with me."

"A offer from a Big time program like Minnesota opens doors for me with schools that were not sure about recruiting or offering me," Teague explained to Scout.com. "Minnesota is definitely still at the top of my list as the coaching staff is great and Minnesota feels more like home. I'm going to Michigan State next week, Notre Dame on 11/19, and Penn State on the 11/26, so I'll be seeing more colleges here soon. I'm not really close to a decision at all, so I want to see all the schools I can."
