Week 11 Big Ten East Power Ratings

The top three teams in the East were all dominant this past weekend, Michigan crushed Maryland 59-3, Ohio State outclassed Nebraska 62-3 and Penn State cruised past Iowa 41-14.

Big Ten East Power Ratings:  Week 11

No. 1 Michigan

DTCR:  70% (-5%)

Week 11:  The Wolverines had absolutely zero trouble in taking care of Maryland this past weekend in the Big House.  Michigan should also have little trouble on their road trip to Iowa City this week and then playing host to Indiana in Week 12.  Big Blue is poised to be 11-0 entering The Shoe on November 26th.

No. 2 Ohio State

DTCR:  20% (-5%)

Week 11:  It appears that Ohio State has regained their form.  The Buckeyes absolutely destroyed Nebraska at home on Saturday night and the outcome of the game was rather obvious early on.  Ohio State was shaky for two straight weeks, losing to Penn State and barley escaping a home game with Northwestern.  However, Urban Meyer appears to have the Bucks focused and despite back-to-back road games with Maryland and Michigan State they should be 10-1 when they host Michigan.

No. 3 Penn State

DTCR:  10% (+10%)

Week 11:  Penn State is a completely different team since Saquon Barkley opened Penn State's offensive possession in overtime against Minnesota with a 25-yard game winning touchdown run.  The Lions are riding a 5-game winning streak and should be favored in all remaining contests to finish 8-1 in the Big Ten.  Penn State is hoping for a 3-way tie with Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State all finishing at 8-1 in the Big Ten.

No. 4 Indiana

DTCR:  0% (No Change)

Week 11:  Indiana escaped a road trip to New Jersey to knock off the Scarlet Knights 33-27.  Indiana is desperate to reach bowl eligibility this season and is feeling pretty good with a home game with Purdue in their back pocket in Week 13.  In the meantime the Hoosiers should get outclassed with games against Penn State and Michigan.

No. 5 Maryland

DTCR:  0% (No Change)

Week 11:  The Terps are still stuck on five wins in 2016 and, like Indiana, in search of one more victory to take them to the postseason.  Also, like Indiana, Maryland will have to wait until Week 13 to get it.  The turtles host Ohio State, then travel to Nebraska before their season finale against Rutgers at home.

No. 6 Michigan State

DTCR:  0% (No Change)

Week 11:  Michigan State is just flat out bad this year and their latest embarrassment came this past weekend losing to Illinois 31-27 in Champaign.  Sparty should have a chance to feel good about themselves this weekend as they host Rutgers but right now everyone in East Lansing just wants this season over.

No. 7 Rutgers

DTCR:  0% (No Change)

Week 11:  Rutgers fought Indiana tough but lost their lead down the stretch.  Rutgers does have a sneaky chance to build some momentum heading into 2017 with winnable games against Michigan State and Maryland coming up.
