"When we got there, we got to see the stadium lit up at night and then got to go to some of the facilities," Nebraska interior offensive lineman Brett Kitrell said to GI. "Throughout the visit, we also got to eat some amazing food and I got to meet every recruit on their official visit and hang with them and get to know them better. I got to talk with coach Miller and Claeys as well and sit in on a practice. It was a great visit."
"Coach Miller's message to me was that he's excited for me to get up there and get started," Kitrell told GI. "He loves what he sees in me and he told me to just keep getting after it in preparation. We're both very excited about me getting up there. Claeys was awesome this morning with my family and I. We talked about the upcoming events like the spring game and just about how the football program is on the rise. It was awesome. The practice on Saturday was great as it was high intensity and fast paced. I loved it. Sam Schluter was my host and he was a great guy! His message to me as that it's an awesome experience playing division one football for Minnesota and that I will really enjoy it there."
Kitrell and his family are walking away from Minnesota very impressed.
"My parents loved it. They really enjoyed talking to Miller and Claeys, and love the atmosphere of the football team. My favorite part of the visit was watching practice and seeing coach Miller coach. It was good to see what I'll be going through for five years and getting a feel for the way he coaches every day. It was great. I'm feeling great about my Minnesota commitment. Very happy. Iowa State was really trying to get me up there on a visit as they offered me after evaluating my senior tape at offensive line. I told Iowa State I was committed, and that I'm firm to Minnesota. Go Gophers!"
