"On the Minnesota official visit, we did a lot of eating and talking," Woodbury (Minn.) tight end and Gopher commit Nathan Bursch said to GopherIlustrated. "We went to the basketball game on Friday night and I missed all of Saturday morning and afternoon for an important basketball game, but on Friday and Saturday night, we got to hang out with the players. My host for the visit was tight end Ko Kieft and he was real cool. I can see me and him getting along real well. He was talking to me about enjoying high school while I can and get ready to start grinding when I'm here."
"Coach Reeves was telling to enjoy my visit and keep eating and lifting as much as I can," Bursch said. "Keep grinding and never stop. Claeys said a lot of the same things and to enjoy my senior year because you only have one. Plus that I'm going to be here in a matter of no time. My family thought the Gophers official visit was awesome and liked it a lot. They got to eat well and talk to the coaches probably more than us recruits, which led them to getting a lot of good information and their questions answered."
Minnesota's got nothing to worry about with their tight end commit.
"I love Minnesota. I wish I could sign right now and be active on the team. I trust what Claeys and Ko (Kieft) said about enjoying your senior year, plus I need to finish my basketball and track career, which both have high potentials of going to state. I can't wait to report on June 10th to Minnesota though. Other smaller schools are still trying to recruit me, but I'm a hard commit to the Gophers, so it's not worth their time to keep trying. I just want to win a Big Ten championship for this great state I was born and raised in."
