"Honestly, I had a great visit and I love being with the Gophers and so does my family," In-state offensive lineman Eric Abojei said to GopherIllustrated. "We are extremely happy with Minnesota following this visit. We had delicious food, so yeah, I enjoyed it. We got to meet more recruits from all over the country and all get a weekend to connect more with some of the commits, so that was great. Also got to hang out with some players that are currently there, and meet some players I've never met, so that was great too. I got to watch practice and see how that went and everything went well."
"My former teammate Phillip Howard was my host for the visit, and he just said to enjoy high school and try to be ready for what's coming at Minnesota because we have a bright future here. He's excited for me to come out and hopefully lead the offensive line like I do now. He also told me that the game speed is a lot faster, so I can't wait to see how that plays out. Coach Miller told us that he can't wait to have me in there working with me and getting better. He's making sure to get everything done so we can get that Big Ten championship. He's as excited as we are. Claeys said a lot of the same things. He wants to take care of me and he's letting me know how much he cares about me and can't wait to see me coming soon. I also enjoyed watching them practice and can't wait to join them soon."
Abojei has a message for Gopher fans.
"People keeping asking me, "Big E, are you ready for Minnesota?". I usually tell them that, "Big E is ready to help Minnesota win that Big Ten Championship, so let's work." Can't wait to be a Gopher!"
